The Sydney Swans will hit the road in February next year for the annual Australia Post AFL Community Camp.

The two-day camp from February 23-24 will see the entire Swans playing group out in the community visiting Wollongong, Bowral, Newcastle, Port Macquarie, Gosford, Tamworth, Armidale, Wagga Wagga and Sydney metro locations.

The Swans will use the camp to visit schools and hospitals, run football clinics, and meet up-and-coming footballers at their local clubs.

Swans coach John Longmire said the players always look forward to the Community Camps.

“The Community Camps are a great initiative and something the playing group really enjoy each year,” Longmire said.

“It’s great for the club to spend a few days in the community and to get out and about visiting fans in regional areas.

“The community camps are always a great way to kick off the year just ahead of the pre-season competition.”
