The Sydney Swans are pleased to announce that Major Partner Citi has extended its partnership with the club for a further three years.

Citi’s partnership with the Swans began in the club’s successful 2005 premiership year, with their tenth season celebrated in 2014.This latest extension will see the partnership continue into a thirteenth year, until at least the end of 2017.

Citi’s extension makes it a trio of major re-signings for the Swans in 2014, following news earlier in the season that Principal Partner QBE and Co-Major Partners Volkswagen had both extended their partnerships with the club.

Sydney Swans CEO Andrew Ireland said he was pleased to have Citi continue its outstanding partnership with the club.

“Citi is a strong global brand and we are incredibly proud to have such a long-standing, loyal partner,” he said.

“It’s a real credit to both organisations that we have been able to work together to build such a strong partnership over a long period of time.”

“We have always seen our partnership with Citi as somewhat of a good luck charm given they started with us back in the premiership year of 2005, so we hope that good luck can continue for many years to come.”

Citi Australia’s CEO, Stephen Roberts, said: “Citi is pleased to extend its major partnership with the Swans after 10 very successful years, on and off the field. Citi Australia has a long history of supporting the local community and our alignment with the Swans is our longest standing partnership.”

“Our partnership with the Swans also gives us an opportunity to engage with the club’s large and passionate supporter base, both at home games and in our role as Membership Partner. This year has been a great year for the Club and we look forward to supporting their efforts in 2015 and beyond.”

The renewal of the Citi partnership caps off an exciting year for the Club off the field, which saw record membership and strong growth in a number of key areas including average attendance and national television audiences.
