The Sydney Swans congratulate Director Greg Paramor on his Australia Day honour.

Paramor, who joined the Swans board of directors in 2008, was awarded an Order of Australia for his distinguished service to the community through executive roles in a range of fields, including breast cancer research, sport and the not-for-profit sector, and to the real estate and property investment industries.

Sydney Swans Chairman Andrew Pridham congratulated Paramor on the honour.

“This is thoroughly deserved recognition for all of the fantastic work Greg has done in the community, and in the not-for-profit, real estate and property investment industries.

“On behalf of everyone at the Swans, I congratulate Greg on this great achievement and honour."

The club also congratulates Swans Ambassador Air Chief Marshal, Angus Houston, who was awarded Knight of the Order of Australia.

The nation's top honour was awarded to Houston for his extraordinary and pre-eminent achievement and merit in service to Australia, through distinguished service in the Australian Defence Force, continued commitment to serve the nation in leadership roles, particularly the national responses to the MH370 and MH17 disasters, and in a variety of roles in the community.

Congratulations also goes to Swans Ambassadors Roy Billing OAM, Jonathan Coleman OAM, Layne Beachley AO and Judy Nunn AN for their Australia Day honours.
