The Sydney Swans today announced the appointment of Alexandra Goodfellow to the Board.
Her appointment fills the vacancy left following the retirement of Richard Colless in late 2013.
Swans Chairman Andrew Pridham welcomed Alexandra as a Director.
“Alexandra is an outstanding person who has significant commercial experience. She is one of Australia’s leading executive search professionals and as a consequence has extensive contacts into corporate Australia,” he said.
“I believe Alexandra will strengthen the Sydney Swans Board with her specific skills in the areas of recruitment, people management and fundraising.
“Her appointment follows an extensive search process where we sought to compliment the balance of the Board and specifically bolster its strength in specific areas of commercial expertise.” Mr Pridham said.
Alexandra is a Senior Client Partner at leading executive search firm Korn Ferry where she is part of the Board Services practice and Co-Head of Financial Services Australasia. She is also on the Westmead Children’s Hospital Grace Ward Funding Committee and a Founding Member of the Tiffany Red Cross Committee.
Alexandra Goodfellow added that she was delighted to join the Sydney Swans as a director.
“I am a long term supporter and member. I have long admired the club for its wonderful culture and its industry leading management both on and off the field,” she said.
