Shane Potter: Suart, it is a bit nicer weather over here at the moment compared to what we have seen in Sydney this week.

Stuart Dew: Compared to the weather in Sydney there is no doubt we were happy to land and hopefully it will be a good game.

SP: How do you see the game playing out on Saturday night with the form of Fremantle over the first three rounds impressive?

SD: You would almost say Fremantle are in better form then when they made the grand final. We think we are in reasonable form, definitely better then this time last year so we are looking forward to the challenge. They are hard to match up on as they have winners all over the ground so we certainly have a few headaches this week but hopefully we create some as well.

SP: Is there any chance we will see both of these midfields go head to head?

SD: I think the players would be happy with that but knowing John Longmire and obviously what everyone knows of Ross Lyon that won’t be happening. It is a battle of how much do you attack and how much do you defend. Sometimes the score dictates how hard you go on both so it will be interesting. There are so many good names to watch and when you come up against a good side you can’t lock down on one because the next three of four guys will come out on top.

SP: How important is the ruck duel obviously coming up against Aaron Sandilands?

SD: Every match up across the ground will be important for us but we are confident Mike Pyke and Kurt Tipett can do the job for us in the ruck. We have played Kurt in the ruck for fifty per cent of the time so he is not going to be kicking four or five goals like he has in the past. We would like him to do both but it is a bit hard when you are playing a lot of time in the ruck as well. He has given us some really good ascendency in the ruck and to be fair he wasn’t able to do a lot of rucking last year because he had some trouble with his knee. He is in good shape and we are looking to use him more in the ruck because he is a fantastic ruckman so obviously we are going to need it when we come up against a couple of giants in Fremantle.

SP: Stewy thanks for your time and good luck.
