The Sydney Swans Football Club is excited to announce star midfielder Dan Hannebery has signed a five year contract extension with the club.

The new deal will see the 24-year-old remain at the club until at least the end of the 2021 season.

General Manager of Football Tom Harley said it was pleasing to have Hannebery committed to the Swans.

“We are really happy to have an important young player like Dan commit long term to the Club,” Harley said.

“He is having an outstanding season so far and has shown what a valuable member of our midfield group he is.

“As a player that arrived from Melbourne five years ago, it is a great show of faith in our footy program to have him commit until at least 2021.

“We really look forward to Dan being a player who can help drive this group on and off the field in the coming years. “

Hannebery is in career best form this season, averaging 31 disposals a game throughout the first half of the 2015 season.
