The Sydney Swans are pleased to announce total club membership has reached a new record of 48,836 – the third successive year the club has set a new member benchmark.

The new record figure has been largely driven by an increased focus on junior memberships.

Across the entire AFL competition, club membership increased to a record total of more than 836,000.

Sydney Swans CEO Andrew Ireland thanked the Club’s loyal members for their support.

“This has been an amazing show of support and faith from all of our members,” he said.

“The support of our members is incredibly important to the club and helps us invest in the team’s performance.

“What is most pleasing is the continued rise of our junior membership, which has been a major focus for the club over the past five years.

“Importantly, our members are not just a number and we put a lot of emphasis on the annual member satisfaction survey, to ensure we are offering our members great value and service.

“We want all of our members to share the journey with us.  So whether it is down in Melbourne on Sunday, or back here at the SCG next Saturday night against the Gold Coast Suns, we want to hear you cheering in the stands,” Ireland said.
