Swans swing man Sam Reid says strong results of late will yield strong form going into the 2015 finals series.

The Swans stormed away to a third consecutive win on Sunday, smashing St Kilda by 97 points at Etihad Stadium.

It comes after an equally dominant win against GWS and a tight but strong win against Collingwood.

Reid, who booted two goals from 18 disposals and 10 marks, believed with one week left in the home and away season the Swans' form was peaking at just the right time.

"We've had a pretty inconsistent season," Reid said post-match.

"We probably haven't put a whole four quarters together and haven't achieved that benchmark game we set ourselves.

"But we're edging closer at the right time of year."

For the second straight week the Swans exceeded 100 points and eclipsed their highest score for the season in the 20.15 (135) to 4.14 (38) win.

With just one goal coming from the leading goal-kicker Lance Franklin (who was eventually subbed during the third quarter) the Swans versatility came to the fore.

Isaac Heeney (four goals), Kurt Tippett and Adam Goodes (three goals each) all impacting the scoreboard while seven goals came from on-ballers including two from ruckman Mike Pyke.

"We've been able to spread the load which is a good sign," Reid said.

"When we haven't been playing well we've been breaking down across half-forward.

"The last few weeks we've been able to rectify that and use the ball better, hit targets and more importantly finish off.

"We really need to keep that going heading into finals."

Reid wasn't about to buy into his own good form too much or look too far ahead with four more points ripe for the taking against Gold Coast on Saturday night at the SCG.

"You can't help but be excited about finals, you start to get excited about halfway through the year," he added.

"But we've got to focus our attention on the Suns, who have been going alright, and make sure we get through that game with a win and then prepare ourselves as best we can for finals."

A Swans win will guarantee last year's grand finalists an invaluable double chance.
