Midfield coach Josh Francou says...

"When you talk about players in the competition as far as an ability to win the footy one-on-one, Joey is as good as I've seen. He's probably head and shoulders above the second best at being able to win those one-on-one contests. You also have to keep in mind, opposition sides would no doubt plan and prepare to nullify his influence, whether that's two blokes going at him at the stoppage or putting some physical heat on him to minimise his impact. He finds his own footy, he's super strong, he's as clean with the ball by hand as I've seen, and his ability to stand up in a tackle and still dispose of the ball to the advantage of a teammate is as good as I've seen. He's a beauty."

Season highlight...

It's not a question of which one, but how many, when looking at Josh Kennedy's highlights throughout season 2015.

And once you find them it's hard to believe J.P Kennedy wasn't included in the All Australian 22.

Kennedy enjoyed arguably his most consistent season to date, a step above last season and an even better than 2012 when the comp's clearance king polled the most votes in Swans' history to win the Bob Skilton Medal.

If we thought Kennedy's first half of the year was impressive, the 27-year-old's second half was unbelievable with a run of 11 consecutive matches of 30+ disposals icing his sixth and best season in the red and white.

Topped by a 41-possession performance in Round 15 against the Lions but bolstered by an herculean effort against Collingwood (35 touches, 14 clearances) in Round 20, nothing could stop Kennedy on his way to leading the competition in clearances and contested possessions by season's end.

Through the lens...

Kennedy poses with the Brett Kirk Medal after earning best-on-ground honours in the Swans' Round 21 win over GWS.

Kennedy and Dan Hannebery celebrate a goal. Both were prolific ball winners in 2015, capping off superb seasons by finishing fourth and fifth respectively in the 2015 Brownlow Medal.

A shot-by-shot sequence of Kennedy at his brilliant best. This effort came against the Dees in Round 8 when Kennedy shrugged three Demons to burst away and kick the goal.
