The Sydney Swans will be looking to secure a ruckman over the next two weeks, with a number of key targets in the recruiter’s sights during the 2015 AFL Trade Period.

Recruiting and List Strategy Manager Kinnear Beatson confirmed the Swans would be looking to get a deal done early in the Trade Period to bolster the Swans ruck stocks.

“We have some things that we want to try and achieve so we will see how things pan out during the next eight days,” Beatson said.

“Hopefully we will have some things done pretty early but we will just wait and see. We are certainly looking to get a ruckman but we will have to see how discussions go.”

Beatson said West Coast Eagles pair Callum Sinclair and Scott Lycett were in the mix as potential  suitors.

“Everybody goes in there with a hit list of things you want to achieve but whether you are able to accomplish that is another thing,” Beatson said.

“You tick them off as you go, one at a time.”

The Swans were on hand at Etihad Stadium on Monday for the opening day of trade talks.

Lewis Jetta has officially requested a trade to return home to Western Australia and is expected to find a new home at either West Coast or Fremantle before the period ends on October 22.
