General Manager of Football Tom Harley fronted the media shortly after arriving at Etihad Stadium for the opening of the 2015 AFL Trade Period.

Harley on Lewis Jetta…

“Lewis is the one who holds all our cards during this period. Jetta is our one player who has decided he wants to go home to Perth and obviously with West Coast playing in a grand final we’ve had to delay what we can potentially look at there so we’ll canvas all those ideas this week.”

Harley on Mike Pyke…

“Mike Pyke hasn’t retired to start off with.  He’s weighing up his options and weighing up his future on and off the field.”

Harley on West Coast’s Callum Sinclair…

“The interest in Callum is generated because he’s a West Coast player as much as anything else. He’s a good player and we like the way he plays, but to be truthful we haven’t sat down with West Coast in any sort of meaningful way.”

Harley on Brisbane’s Mathew Leuenberger…

“We have an interest in Matt for sure, and met him a couple of times, but we haven’t put an offer in for Matt and never did. I think there will be a bit of action today, but it’s not likely to be us.”

Harley on Western Bulldogs’ Michael Talia…

“Michael is a good young player and he’s got some really good traits as a key defender. But, again, to be totally truthful, we haven’t explored too many those options at this stage.”
