The Sydney Swans today welcomed the outcome of the AFL investigation in relation to Michael Talia.

Talia adamantly denied any wrongdoing throughout the process, and that has been substantiated by the AFL investigation’s findings.

Talia said he was pleased with the outcome and keen to move on from the issue.

“While disappointed to have my name associated with these allegations, I am pleased the AFL investigation has cleared me of any wrongdoing,” he said.

“I am looking forward to putting the issue behind me and concentrating on my first pre-season with the Swans,” Talia said.

Sydney Swans General Manager of Football Tom Harley said the Club was satisfied with the outcome.

“In all our dealings with Michael, we have found him to be a quality young man,” he said.

“We are pleased he can now put this issue behind him and focus on his football,” Harley said.
