The Sydney Swans have finalised their list for the 2016 season with the addition of four players in Friday’s Rookie Draft.

The Swans welcome new trio Tom Papley, Kyle Galloway and Sam Murray to the rookie list along with Harry Marsh who was re-drafted as a rookie.

Recruiting and List Strategy Manager Kinnear Beatson said he was pleased with the position of the list heading into the 2016 season.

“It is exciting to bring new talent into the club, I think everybody is excited by that and that is what is great about footy,” Beatson said.

“We were quite strategic with what we did this year in that we have been searching for a good small crumbing forward for a long time and we think Tom Papley services that need.

“We also addressed the need to improve our kicking skills through Tyrone Leonardis, Jordan Dawson and Sam Murray.

“Overall we are really happy because on top of that we have got Callum Mills who we think is a really special player.”

Beatson said the club was pleased to be able to add a fourth ruckman to its list with the addition of 209cm Galloway.

“We have found it so hard to find ruckmen of substantial size, it is just this merry-go-round of ruckmen at AFL level,” he said.

“We found Kyle and thought why not as a rookie give him a shot at it and see how he comes along for the year.”
