The Sydney Swans' pre-season is back in full swing following a two-day roadshow across metropolitan and country NSW.

As part of the 2016 AFL Community Camps, Swans players split into groups and travelled far and wide to mix with members of numerous townships.

Some stayed closer to home, visiting schools and running clinics in suburbs including Cherrybrook, Bronte, Pennant Hills and Marrickville while others had a bit of road trip ahead of them to reach their destinations.

Isaac Heeney was joined by Dan Hannebery, Tom Papley, Jeremy Laidler, Dane Rampe, Abe Davis, Brandon Jack and Aliir Aliir in making the two hours drive north to his home town of Newcastle.

The group split into pairs and visited various schools including the HV Alphabet Centre Pre-School where some time was spent playing with kids in the sandpit.

Meanwhile, further north, Sam Naismith and Tom Mitchell took to the airwaves in Tamworth.

After some clinics and a visit to the Tamworth Kangaroos FC, the duo were interviewed on the ABC on Tuesday morning.

Naismith and Mitchell then made the hour trip west to the ruckman's home town of Gunnedah before the return leg to Sydney.

The new "mayor of Wagga Wagga", Harry Cunningham also returned to his roots along with James Rose, Jordan Dawson and Kyle Galloway.

Cunningham was a fan favourite, especially at his old stomping ground Mater Dei High School.

In and around Sydney, Josh  Kennedy and Ted Richards spent Tuesday afternoon at Cherrybrook Primary School which won the recent #hostSwans competition.

The pair spent time with the school's boys and girls' football sides before dropping into some grade two classes for story time.

Other regions we visited were Armidale, Port Macquarie, Wollongong, Bowral and Terrigal.

The Sydney Swans would like to extend a big thank you to all the community groups, schools and sporting organisations involved in making this year's Community Camps possible.
