The QBE Sydney Swans Academy's U/18s and U/16s did battle with GWS Giants Academy at Tom Wills Oval on Saturday in the first game of the three-round Academy Series.

The ledger was squared with the U/18s coming away with a big 44-point win, while the U/16s were gallant but fell shot by 22 points in a hard fought contest.
