The Sydney Swans will look to continue to build from their strong star to the season after moving to four wins from their first five games on Saturday.

Saturday’s 39-point win over the Eagles was the side’s third win at home for the season.

Big man Kurt Tippett said the win was important for continuing to build momentum at such an early stage of the season.

“It was a tough one today but I think we have been playing some pretty solid football.”

“To find our self at 4-1 is a good way to start so we will keep building.”

Tippett said it was important to play the best teams in the competition early in the season to get a good gauge of what improvements are needed.

“It is fantastic for us to play in the big games so early in the season because they are the ones that you can learn a lot from,” he said.

“The last few games have been really tough, solid games and we know we need to continue to improve so we will look to do that.”

“It is exciting for us.”

The Swans next challenge comes against the Brisbane Lions at the Gabba next Sunday.
