Key defender Aliir Aliir is one step closer to his AFL debut after being named as one of four inclusions in an extended squad ahead of the Sunday's Round 6 clash with Brisbane.
As confirmed on Wednesday by coach John Longmire, Aliir will make his debut against the Lions at the Gabba.
He joins Toby Nankervis, Zak Jones and Jack Hiscox in an extended 25-man squad.
Aliir replaces Ted Richards who was ruled out with a fractured eye socket suffered in the Swans’ 39-point win against West Coast.
