The Sydney Swans head north to take on Brisbane at the Gabba on Sunday with both teams set to blood debutants in the clash.

Aliir Aliir will run out in the red and white for the first time, while the Lions will welcome 19-year-old Ben Keays for his first AFL game.

Keays was developed through the Lions Academy and was taken with pick 24 in the 2015 National Draft.

The Queenslander has averaged just under 30 disposals a game in his four NEAFL matches this season playing for the Lions’ Reserves.

It’s also a big week for Brisbane ruckman Stefan Martin who will line up for his 100th AFL match – a milestone that has taken him nine seasons to reach.

Brisbane will make at least two changes with midfielder Ryan Bastinac (ankle) and small forward Josh Green (chest) both ruled out through injury.

Allen Christensen will also undergo further testing to assess his availability after suffering a concussion last weekend.

The Lions have won just the one game so far this season, defeating the Gold Coast Suns by 13-points in Round 4. Last weekend the team suffered a 53-point loss to the Western Bulldogs, but defender Darcy Gardiner said his team plans to bounce back.

“We’re looking to fix what went wrong last week,” he said.

“We’ve got a lot of challenges early in the season so if we can stay positive and build through them, we’ve got plenty to look forward to.”

The Swans v Lions clash kicks off at 1.10pm on Sunday at the Gabba.
