The sun beamed down on the refreshed Sydney Swans who took to the training track for the first session of 2017.

The gauge read 24 degrees but the sun still had plenty of bite as most of the playing group dusted off the cobwebs and got the legs ticking over following the Christmas and New Years festivities.

Kieren Jack dropped by for a chat following the session, the former co-captain impressed with the effort and intensity produced from his teammates.

"Everyone has come back in good shape which is pleasing," he said.

"We know it's a long pre-season but we know what's in front of us."
