Gallery: Skipper notches double ton

The Sydney Swans have been blessed to have many champion players don the famous jumper and Josh Kennedy ranks among the best of them.

Premiership player, three-time Club Champion, three-time All Australian and captain, Kennedy has forged quite the career over the last 10 seasons and 199 games.

On the eve of his milestone game, against his old side the Hawks on Friday night, we've compiled some of the best photos and times from Joey's brilliant career so far.

Once upon a time, Josh Kennedy played for Hawthorn. He debuted in Round 9, 2008, against Melbourne.

Back in the day, when Lance Franklin and Kennedy wore brown and gold.

Kennedy felt right at home in Sydney immediately after crossing from the Hawks in 2009.

Josh Kennedy joins teammates to celebrate their first win in red and white against Adelaide in Round 2, 2010. From left to right - Daniel Bradshaw, Lewis Jetta, Mark seaby, Kennedy, Ben McGlynn and Shane Mumford.

The packaged deal, Kennedy and McGlynn, from Hawthorn. Sydney certainly came out on top in that trade with both becoming great servants of the Club.

Kennedy soon became the master of his craft, winning the hard ball.

Was there a medal Kennedy didn't win in 2012? Brett Kirk Medal v GWS in Round 1, Peter Badcoe VC Medal v Port Adelaide in Round 3, Frank Macdonald Medal v Hawthorn in Round 5 and then... premiership success!

What a day it was!

In 2014, Franklin joined him in the Harbour City!

The pair went toe-to-toe for the Brownlow too, Franklin finishing equal runner-up just one vote in front of Kennedy. Here, Kennedy is pictured responding to the close count at the SCG's Brownlow Dinner alongside now wife Ana Calle.

Kennedy, "Mr. Consistency", has enjoyed many dominant games over the journey. His career-high of 45 disposals came in Round 19, 2016, against Fremantle.

He's rode the highs.

...and the lows.

A new season, a new captain. Kennedy leads his team out for the first time in Round 1 against Port Adelaide earlier this year.

He's been one of the many reasons for the resurgence.

Congratulations skip on 199 wonderful games!
