Will Hayward and Kurt Tippett will bolster Sydney's NEAFL team for its Grand Final clash against Brisbane at the SCG on Saturday night.

Hayward – the Round 23 AFL Rising Star – and experienced ruckman Tippett did not make the Swans’ AFL side for its Elimination Final against Essendon, and are among 22 AFL-listed players named in a strong NEAFL line-up.

Young gun Jacob Alison will return to Brisbane’s NEAFL side this week, alongside rookies Blake Grewar and Cian Hanley who were squeezed out of the Lions’ Preliminary Final side against Sydney University.

Top AFL Draft prospect Connor Ballenden also comes back in to Brisbane’s side, and will be one of four Lions Academy players alongside Jack Payne, Campbell Walker, and Luke O’Sullivan to earn a Grand Final berth.

Jarrod Osborne is the only Swans Academy player named in Sydney’s side, with NEAFL Rising Star nominee Sam Wicks, Sam Barkley and Harry Carr named as emergencies.
