Food trucks, football and the humble pie reimagined – what more could you want on a Saturday night?

The Sydney Swans in partnership with Broadsheet are excited to announce a one-off boutique food precinct outside the SCG ahead of our Round 9 clash with Fremantle next Saturday night.

On May 19, ahead of our match against Fremantle, we will host a bespoke food canteen on Driver Avenue (outside Gate E) for fans to enjoy ahead of the bounce.

Two restaurants and five food and drink trucks will join forces to create the Sydney Swans Canteen by Broadsheet.

Newtown’s Black Star Pastry will lead the reinvention of a classic meat pie: The Poutine Pie, combining the wonders of chips, gravy and pies in one crispy bakery creation.

Koi Dessert Bar will bring to life its own version of a choc top featuring a dark-chocolate base, crème brulee cremeux, salted-beer caramel gel, popcorn mousse and honeycomb. Koi will also have other signature offerings including Mango Yuzu, Strawberry Pillow and Nomtella available.

Those tasty treats are just the tip of the iceberg (or choc top!), with both Black Star Pastry and Koi Desert Bar to be surrounded by plenty of other food trucks (read: more amazingness that you need in your belly right now).

Nonna’s Pida will be serving flakey Italian flatbreads, The Fancy Banger will be serving up their amazing Portugese rolls and handmade sausages, Duo Duo are deep frying ice-cream, there’ll be fried chicken by Dirty Bird and you can wash it all down with American-style small-batch ale from Batch Brewing.

Everyone is welcome to come along to the Sydney Swans Canteen by Broadsheet ahead of the footy from 5pm next Saturday night outside the SCG.
