The Trustees of the Sydney Cricket and Sports Ground Trust are pleased to announce that they have appointed Kerrie Mather as Chief Executive Officer of the SCG Trust.

SCG Trust Chairman, Tony Shepherd said, “After an extensive global search we are delighted to announce we have appointed Kerrie Mather as our new CEO.

"She has had a distinguished international career and significant experience in the development and operation of major infrastructure and consumer-facing businesses, including most recently as Sydney Airport’s Managing Director and CEO.

“Kerrie brings to the role an excellent track record and extensive experience of working closely and collaboratively with business partners, government, customers and the community. Her strong vision and excellence in stakeholder engagement and customer experience will guide the Trust during the construction of the new Sydney Football Stadium and beyond.”

Ms Mather said: “I’m delighted to have been offered the opportunity to lead the SCG Trust and its iconic facilities, the Sydney Cricket Ground and SFS into a new era. We will provide the most exciting, high-quality sporting facilities and the best customer service and experience in Australia.

“Partnering with sporting organisations and clubs will be a key priority for me, as we create the next dimension in customer and fan experience.

“I’m also excited about the contribution sport and events make to the community and economy in Greater Sydney and NSW, and I’m very much looking forward to strengthening our ties and engagement with our members and the community.”

NSW Minister for Sport Stuart Ayres MP congratulated Ms Mather on her appointment as the first female CEO in the Trust’s history.

“This is an important role and at a critical time in the history of the development of sporting facilities in NSW. Kerrie has an outstanding business track record and is well placed to lead the Trust through this next exciting phase of growth and development for NSW sport,” Mr Ayres said.

Ms Mather will commence her new role on November 5, resigning her role as an SCG Trustee from November 2, 2018.
