Sydney Swans forward Lance Franklin sits in fourth place in the race for the 2018 AFL Coaches Association’s Championship Player of the Year Award after impressing against the Port Adelaide Power on Sunday.

The four-time Coleman Medallist collected five votes in the Swans’ match with the Power at the SCG as he surged to four goals, 15 disposals and five marks.

Port’s Ollie Wines (nine votes), Charlie Dixon (eight), Robbie Gray (six), Travis Boak (one) and Justin Westhoff (one) collected the rest of the votes as the Power recorded a 23-point win.

Hawthorn midfielder Tom Mitchell sits atop the leaderboard on 20 votes, while GWS on-baller Stephen Coniglio (16 votes) and Adelaide defender Rory Laird (16) round out the top three. 

Franklin sits in fourth on 15 votes and will be eyeing off a huge game when the Swans face the Giants at the SCG on Saturday night.
