The star performances of Sydney Swans skipper Josh Kennedy and vice-captain Luke Parker didn’t go unnoticed on Saturday, with the midfield duo collecting AFL Coaches’ Association's Champion Player of the Year votes in the loss to the Gold Coast Suns.

Kennedy recorded 33 disposals, 10 clearances and eight tackles to earn two votes after the SCG clash, while Parker tallied 29 touches, seven clearances and seven tackles to pick up one vote.

Gold Coast’s Aaron Young, Steven May, Rory Thompson, Lachie Weller, Peter Wright and Alex Sexton were awarded the remainder of the votes.
