Star midfielder Daniel Hannebery has been honoured for a standout season with selection in the 2015 All Australian team announced on Tuesday evening.

Hannebery was acknowledged among the best 22 players in the competition at the official ceremony held at Melbourne’s Royal Exhibition Building.

It is the second time the 24-year-old has been included in the All Australian team after previously being named on the interchange bench in 2013.

Hannebery was named in the midfield after a stellar season as one of the dominant onballers in the competition.

In his seventh season at the Swans he played 22 regular season games finishing the season as the leading disposal getter in the competition.

He finished the season with an average of 30 disposals per game

“I think from a consistency point of view it probably was my best season,” Hannebery said

“I got challenged from Horse last year that I had to come back in good condition and play a bit more inside.”

The latest honour is the second for Hannebery this season after already being named the AFL Coaches Association Player of the Year.

Josh Kennedy was the unlucky Swan to miss out on the final team after being included in the initial 40-man squad released by the league a fortnight ago.

The All Australian selection panel is Gillon McLachlan (chairman), Kevin Bartlett, Luke Darcy, Mark Evans, Danny Frawley, Glen Jakovich, Cameron Ling, Matthew Richardson and Warren Tredrea.
