The Sydney Swans playing group return to the track on Thursday afternoon fresh from a four day break for the mid-season bye.

The team has the weekend off ahead of next Friday night’s blockbuster clash against Richmond at the SCG.

After returning to the club for a number of team meetings, the playing group will take part in a main training session as they ramp up preparations for the Tigers.

Ben McGlynn (hamstring) and Isaac Heeney (knee) are expected to re-join the main group as they push for senior selection in a return from injury.

Without any major injury concerns and having used just 27 players this season the pair will have a tough challenge forcing their way back into a side that has won six games in a row.

It is a big fortnight for the Swans who currently sit in second position on the ladder with a 9-2 record as they prepare for clashes against Richmond and the Port Adelaide.

A bumper month ahead is rounded out by a trip to the Gabba to take on Brisbane in Round 15 before returning to Sydney to face Hawthorn at ANZ Stadium in Round 16.
