Luke Parker’s complete all round performance against Geelong on Saturday night has seen him earn a perfect ten in the AFL Coaches Association Player of the Year awards.

Parker finished the game with 31 disposals, 11 marks and five goals in his best game of the season.

John Longmire and Chris Scott were unequivocal in their praise for the 22-year-old, handing him the maximum amount of votes as best on ground.

"It was a pretty good game. I know that might be a bit of an understatement, but it was one of the real quality games of football I've seen from a young kid," Longmire said post game.

"His will is enormous, he just makes himself become a good player, and wills himself in the contest.

"I think he's always going to be on an upward swing anyway because he's that sort of player, he's never satisfied with what he's previously done, he's always trying to get better every minute of the week."

Dan Hannebery continues to stay in touch with Fremantle star Nat Fyfe in the voting collecting another six votes to move to second on the overall leader board with 36 votes.

A bag of four goals to Lance Franklin helped him collect six votes while Tom Mitchell (4 votes), Josh Kennedy (3 votes) and Lewis Jetta (1 vote) were also among the vote getters.
