Defender Dane Rampe is hoping his recent run of strong form can continue when he takes on North Melbourne at Etihad Stadium on Saturday night.

The 24-year-old played an important role in the win over Gold Coast collecting a career-high 32 disposals and 12 marks, including nine intercept marks.

After a quiet patch earlier in the season, Rampe is simply happy to have returned to playing at his best.

“I haven’t been too happy with the middle part of my year, I started the first two rounds strong but a few little niggles off the field interrupted my preparation after that,” Rampe said.

“I didn’t think my form was where I wanted it to be but on the back of the last few weeks I have been happy with a little bit of progress.

“I still just want to continue to develop my game.”
