The Swans host GWS on Saturday night in the sixth instalment of the Sydney Derby.

What did you take out of our round 14 match, Fantasy wise?

Lotts:
While it wasn’t our best game Fantasy wise for the year it was good to return to Sydney with the four points in the bank. Only three players cracked the ton in Josh Kennedy (MID $572,413) with 107, Luke Parker (MID/FWD $509,248) with 102 and Harry Cunningham (MID $277,744) with 100.

Sub-elite Legends: It wasn’t our best game and given it was a low-scoring affair it comes as no surprise that we didn’t have any huge scorers on the Fantasy-front. In saying that, Kennedy’s game-high 12 tackles and Parker’s 11 tackles helped bolster their scores. It’s also worth mentioning debutant Zak Jones’ contribution (DEF $211,356), who laid six tackles in a half and finished with 47 Fantasy points.

Who’s your Swans player of the week?

Lotts:
For me, it’s the lad from Wagga Wagga, Harry Cunningham. Harry has been a terrific pick up this year playing every match, averaging just under 60 points. His highest score of the year came at the ‘G last week where he posted an even 100.

Sub-elite Legends: He just missed out on cracking the ton, but Lance Franklin (FWD $465,577) is once again my player of the week. On the back of his 122-point, match-winning performance over Port Adelaide, Buddy notched up 98 points against Richmond, which was helped along by his four-straight goals and seven tackles.

Which Swans player would you choose as your captain for the next game?

Lotts:
Well it certainly felt good to be correct again, thank you Josh Kennedy for top scoring with 107. While I rolled the dice a couple of weeks ago – which didn’t exactly pay off – I’m going to do it again and go with Lance Franklin (FWD $465,577) as captain this week. He’s been in good touch of late averaging 105 in his past five matches. He didn’t play the best the first time we played GWS – either did the team – but with Kurt Tippett (FWD $391,959) back in the side this week, I’m expecting him to maintain his average.

Sub-elite Legends: Come on Lotts, how on earth could you drift from the tried and true Josh Kennedy, who has served you well and posted yet another 100-plus point performance? Picking a Fantasy captain is not a gambling game, and for that reason, I’m going to stick with Joey this week and enjoy yet another consistent performance.

Next up is GWS at the SCG, who are the players to look out for from GWS?

Lotts:
With 17 first round draft picks, GWS have got plenty of talented players who can produce some big scores on their day. There’s Adam Treloar (MID $551,610) who’s produced a monster 159 game followed up by 130, then there’s Devon Smith (FWD/MID $472,830) who’s recorded scores of 137 and 128 and their skipper Callan Ward (MID $553,222) who’s notched up a score of 162 and 129 two weeks ago.

Sub-elite Legends: You’re right. GWS have a bevy of young talent, particularly through the midfield, who are all capable of posting huge Fantasy numbers. But, there is one player who we are all pretty familiar with by the name of Shane Mumford (RUC $473,535) who has been in terrific form and can be extremely damaging. Last week the big Mummy posted a massive 139 points in his team’s win over Carlton, with the ruckman picking up 55 hit outs, 18 disposals and nine tackles against the Blues. He was also pretty handy over the two previous matches, with Mumford scoring 88 points in each of GWS’s matches against the Bombers and the Lions.

Any changes this week for your team?

Lotts:
I brought in Ryan Griffen (MID $429,814) about a month ago when he was super cheap but now it’s time to offload him after he was injured on the weekend. I’m looking at either going all out and bringing in Tom Rockliff (MID $617,646) or jumping on an undervalued Steve Johnson (MID $515,293). Other than that, my team is looking pretty good scoring 2180 last week so no other changes for me this round.

Sub-elite Legends: Everyone has forgotten about gun Sun Jack Martin (MID $230,748), he dropped heaps of cash since his injury-affected first game and has good security for the rest of the year. I am trading him in for talented Hawk Will Langford (DEF/MID $318,048) who despite a great first half of the year has been playing in the VFL and needs to be punted.
