The Giants strike back
Greater Western Sydney appears to have poached young Sydney Swans forward Jed Lamb from its cross-town rival.

Fairfax Media reports Lamb, who spent three years at the Swans, quit the club on Monday to join the Giants on a three-year deal.

Lamb struggled to break into the Swans line-up in his time at the club, playing only 12 games. He did not feature in the Swans' finals campaign this year.

Lamb was a first-round draft pick in 2010. A trade will be discussed, although Lamb also has the ability to join the club through the NAB AFL Pre-Season Draft.

He is set to become the second Swan to leave the club for the Giants since Lance Franklin's decision to join the 2012 premiers on a nine-year, $10 million deal.

Ruckman Shane Mumford's trade went through days ago, while the Giants remain front-runners to claim out-of-favour Collingwood defender Heath Shaw.

Crameri not yet a Bulldog
Almost a month after telling Essendon he wanted to join the Western Bulldogs, a deal for Stewart Crameri is still yet to be finalised.

The Bulldogs' original offer of their second-round pick – No.26 overall – has been boosted according to the Herald Sun, with the Bulldogs offering to swap third-round picks as part of the deal.

It would mean the Bombers would send Crameri and pick 48 to the Bulldogs in exchange for selections 26 and 42.

The report suggests the Bombers want to use 48 in another deal, with the club being previously linked to Greater Western Sydney's Shaun Edwards.

Activity looming
A number of deals are expected to push closer to resolution on Tuesday, as Friday's trade deadline edges nearer.

AFL.com.au reported on Monday North Melbourne defender Luke Delaney was likely to be traded to St Kilda for either pick No.59 or 77.

The Brisbane Lions are brokering deals with a number of clubs, and trades involving Elliot Yeo, Sam Docherty, Jared Polec and Billy Longer are in full swing.
