We take a closer look at some of the potential first round draftees ahead of the National Draft to be held in Sydney on November 24.

The Club will enter the National Draft with live selections at pick 14, 33 and 51.

The following are four of the potential draft prospects predicted by experts to be selected in the first round.

Hunter Clark – Dandenong Stingrays / Vic Country
Height: 186cm
Weight: 79kg
Position: Half-back / midfielder

Expected to be taken in the first round the NAB AFL Academy graduate is a smooth moving midfielder who uses the ball well by both hand and foot. An elite ball winner who is strong overhead and was awarded the Dandenong Stingrays best and fairest award in season 2017. He averaged 27 disposals a game playing for the Stingrays in the TAC Cup competition throughout the season. Was a strong contributor for Vic Country in the AFL U18 Championships.

Cameron Rayner – Western Jets / Vic Metro
Height: 187cm

Weight: 88kg
Position: Half-forward/midfielder

A highly rated prospect, Rayner has been picked by some experts to be taken with the No.1 pick. A powerful half forward who can push through the midfield has great speed and an agility that becomes evident at stoppages. Had an outstanding U18 championships for Vic Metro winning All Australian honours. Strong over his head in the air and also has a dangerous streak when he gets around goal. Rayner uses both his pace and strength to turn the game on its head and has some real x-factor in the way he goes about it. Did not test at the Combine due to a knee problem.

Charles Constable – Sandringham Dragons / Vic Metro
Height: 190cm
Weight: 83kg
Position: Midfielder

One of the most versatile prospects in the draft Constable is a tall midfielder who has shown the ability to be able to go forward or back. He has displayed an ability to win contested football on the inside and distributes the ball well by hand in tight situations. Stands out in one on one contests and barely loses in that battle. Won All Australian honours after averaging 26 disposals in the U18 Championships playing for Vic Metro.

Lochie O’Brien – Bendigo Pioneers / Vic Country
Height: 184cm
Weight: 75kg
Position: Midfielder

Lochie O’Brien possesses many exciting attributes which has him placed with many experts to be taken early in the National Draft. An AFL Academy gradute, he is a fleet-of-foot medium midfielder with a penetrating left boot. O’Brien is strong overhead and has shown an ability to be dangerous in front of goal. Had an impressive draft Combine with a 6.12 for the 2km ranked second overall. He performed well in his three games for Vic Country across the U18 Championships.
