In wet and windy conditions in Lavington, the NSW/ACT Rams went down by 11 points to the Murray Bushrangers last Saturday afternoon.

In what was another gallant performance by the Rams, the visitors could not get on top of a Bushrangers side who continued to find a way to come back with a goal to steady the margin each and every time the Rams challenged.

The Rams came out fighting early in the second quarter, where goals were at a premium in the wet, windy and blustery conditions. Despite their efforts, the Rams just could not find a way to goal, while the Bushrangers were able to slot three of their own to hold a 16-point lead at half-time.

A five-goal third term kept the Rams in touch, with the side trailing by just seven points at the final change.

At three quarter time, Rams coach Jason Saddington demanded a lift and the team responded and fought their way back into the contest, however it wasn't enough.

A late goal in the final minutes by the Bushrangers sealed the victory and put any chance of the Rams taking their first win in the under-18 TAC Cup competition out of reach.

Hard at it midfielder Isaac Heeney was again best afield for the Rams and tried to inspire his fellow team mates throughout the match with his gutsy and determined performance. Fellow QBE Sydney Swans Academy player Jordan Foote was also again in the best.

The Rams are next in action against the Oakleigh Chargers on Saturday May 24 at Warrawee Park, Oakleigh.
