Swans midfielder Dan Hannebery is confident the Swans can move on quickly from Friday night’s loss to Richmond and refocus ahead of a big Round 14 encounter with Port Adelaide.

After trailing by 32 points at half-time, the Tigers turned things around dramatically in the second half to run away with an 18-point win in front of 37, 579 fans at the SCG.

Hannebery was at a loss when asked what contributed to the noticeable drop off in intensity and dramatic momentum swing which saw the visitors outscore the Swans 11.6 to 3.3 after the main break.

Faced with only a six-day break before meeting the Power at the SCG, Hannebery says the playing group was looking forward to “putting the overalls on again and getting back to work”.

“It was really disappointing, especially after we started so well in the first half,” Hannebery said on the loss.

“We were really disappointed we couldn’t wrestle the momentum back after they got a run on. We’ve been really good at halting a team’s momentum and surge ahead ourselves.

"We were outworked and outmuscled in the second half which is something we really pride ourselves on.

“Sometimes when you play poorly and have a bad loss like we did on Friday night, a small positive is we have only a short time to wait before we get to have another crack.”

Hannebery was one of the Swans’ shining lights in the defeat, gathering 29 possessions, alongside Luke Parker (24 touches and two goals).

Hannebery, joined by teammates Dane Rampe and Sam Naismith, spoke at a media press conference on Saturday morning before signing autographs and addressing an enthusiastic bunch at the Moore Park Tigers Junior Football Club.
