Young Swan Ollie Florent has started his second season at the top level in strong fashion as he looks to cement a regular spot in the senior side.

The Beaumaris junior who was taken by the Swans at pick 11 as their first-round selection at the 2016 National Draft has become a regular fixture in the senior side.

The 19-year-old has played every game this season averaging 13 disposals a match and has booted four goals in those six games.

Florent was instrumental in the win over Geelong last weekend as he complemented his two-goal effort with 14 touches and six marks.

He credits his rise during his second season in the side to a number of senior figures at the Club.

“I’m really close with Dan Hannebery,” Florent said on Macquarie Sports Radio.

“He’s my official mentor at the club and is such a good bloke.

“I’m really close to a lot of players but for me it’s him, Dane Rampe, Kieren Jack. Everyone’s super but they’ve really stood out in really helping me get to the next level.”

The youngster said after Sydney’s Round 4 win over the Western Bulldogs he was pleased with his progress.

“I know that I can work on my game,” Florent said.

“Everyone’s got to improve at some point and I’m happy that I’m playing consistent football.

“It’s a credit to the boys – they make me feel so comfortable out there. I absolutely love getting out there and playing.

“I’ve spoken with a few coaches and they’re pretty happy with how I’m going but I want to get better.”

Florent is expected to once again play a key role in the Swans new look forward line when they take to the field against North Melbourne without Lance Franklin on Saturday night.
