Rhyce Shaw, Mitch Morton and Shane Biggs have been named in the Sydney Swans’ extended 25-man squad for Sunday afternoon’s clash with the Western Bulldogs at Etihad Stadium.

Shaw will be looking to play his first senior game in more than three months after battling an abdominal injury suffered in the Swans’ round two win over the Gold Coast Suns.

The defender made his return to the field via the NEAFL a fortnight ago at Gold Coast’s Metricon Stadium and trained at the club with the Swans reserves squad last weekend, who had a bye.

Swans midfielder Luke Parker will play his 50th match this Sunday, while Josh Kennedy will play his 100th consecutive match when he takes the field this weekend.

The final 22 for Sunday afternoon’s game will be announced on sydneyswans.com.au at 5:00pm on Friday, August 2.
