With our first SCG game for the season taking place on Sunday, there are a few things all Sydney Swans members need to be aware of before the game.

To help make Sunday’s match run smoothly, we’ve compiled a list of the top tips for members and fans attending this weekend’s big match against North Melbourne at the SCG:

   1. Members need to be aware that dress regulations now apply in the Red Zone. For men, this means wearing a collared shirt and fully-enclosed shoes. For women, dresses and skirts of a respectable length or slacks with a modest blouse. Swans guernseys are also allowed so long as they are neat and tidy. Click here for more details on what you need to wear to gain entry into the ground.

   2. Check your membership card to see what gate you should use to enter the SCG. With the completion of the new stand, entry is now available via Paddington Lane off Moore Park Road for all members, even if this isn’t listed on your card. Reserved seat members with Gate G listed on their card can also enter from Driver Avenue, through Gate E. To view a map of the SCG with gates, click here.

  3. Gates open at 9:25am ahead of the Swans reserves NEAFL clash with Queanbeyan at 9:30am. The senior match will follow at the family friendly time of 1:10pm.

  4. Don’t forget to arrive early as we say thank you to Jude Bolton. The former Swan will walk a Lap of Honour at 12.40pm.

  5. As in previous years, there will be plenty of activity in and around the SCG on match day. Popular areas such as the Volkswagen Fan Zone and Citibank Fan Zone are back for 2014, as well as new inclusions the Staples Fan Stand and SwansHQ. To check out all that is happening around the SCG this Sunday, click here.

  6. With plenty going on at the SCG and in other areas in the precinct, public transport is the best way to get to the ground on match day. Plan ahead and catch public transport if you can.

  7. There will be three member redemption marquees at Sunday’s match, located on Driver Avenue outside the SCG, inside Gate D, and inside Gate A. Make sure you bring your redemption voucher to pick up your items.

  8. Our full time Member Services team will be operating two Service Offices to help you should you have any issues or questions on match day. Service Office locations can be found here.

  9. Great seats are still available. Purchase tickets for friends and family at www.ticketek.com.au/sydneyswans, and help us fill the stands with red and white. Enter the 12-digit barcode number on your 2014 Sydney Swans membership card to receive 10% off reserved seat tickets.

  10. Save your voice this week, and get ready to cheer your Sydney Swans to victory at the SCG for the first time in 2014!
