Forward Lance Franklin is available to take his place in the Sydney Swans line-up to face Fremantle at the SCG on Saturday after he was cleared of any wrongdoing following a fourth quarter clash with North Melbourne's Scott Thomson.

After being reported for striking on match day, the AFL's Match Review Panel concluded that the action didn't warrant a striking charge and the force used was below that of a reportable offence.

No further action will be taken.
