It will be a family affair at the football for Clint Benn in 2015, with the Sydney Swans member signing up his entire family – including his five-month-old daughter Violet.

Benn, who joined the club as a member for the first time in 2010, has since converted his entire family into Swans members, with his wife Suzanneh and two children Alyshar and Taylor all regular fixtures at Sydney home games.

Speaking to sydneyswans.com.au about the family’s newest inclusion, Benn said as soon as Violet was born, it was decided that she needed to become a Swans member.

“She was born on July 21 and pretty much within a couple of days we decided she needed to be a Swans member,” he said.

“We bought Violet a seat, so she’s got her own seat with us so we can make sure over the next five or ten years that we’ve got five seats together.

“We’ve also got a spot for the pram, so we’ve worked everything out.”

With all of his children signing up with the red and white at a very young age, the proud dad has also started a collection of Swans membership caps to mark his children’s years of membership.

Benn said he was particularly excited that Violet, as well as four-year-old Taylor, would have 21 membership caps to celebrate their 21st birthday.

“Taylor was signed up when he was seven months, so when he’s 21 he’ll be a member for 21 years too,” he said.

“I’ve kept all the members hats, so when they turn 21 or 19 or 20 or whatever, they will have all the caps for all the years.”

After experiencing another exciting year in the stands with his family, Benn said there was nothing better than watching the Swans play live at the SCG and ANZ Stadium.

Benn highlighted the Swans’ 110-point win over Geelong in Indigenous Round was his favourite game of the season.

“My favourite game was most probably against Geelong, but there were so many good games,” he said.

“I think it’s the atmosphere of the crowd.

“If you really support your team then you’ve got to go to the ground.

“There is nothing like being there. You can watch it on TV, but it’s nothing like being there.”
