Co-captain Jarrad McVeigh is confident his side is ready for the challenge of facing an in form Fremantle Dockers team on Saturday night.

The Dockers were convincing in their 30 point win over West Coast on Sunday afternoon leaving them undefeated in third on the ladder.

The Swans are set to travel to Perth on Wednesday night before taking part in a training session on Thursday ahead of the game.

McVeigh said he can’t wait for the test that awaits his side at Domain Stadium.

“The way they played yesterday in the first half especially was really impressive,” McVeigh said.

“We love coming up against Freo, when we play Fremantle there is a lot of pressure, a lot of tackles and we can’t wait to get involved.

“We love getting away and playing away to test ourselves against the best.”

McVeigh said the team was pleased to get the win against the Giants on Saturday afternoon in a tough contest.

“It was a really solid game with a lot of tackling and a lot of pressure on the ball carrier,” McVeigh said.

“Obviously the SCG is small but it is still very tight so it was a hard game and there were probably too many scoring shots for our liking.

“They had too many scoring shots on goal but fortunately we did enough when we needed to get the win.”

Saturday night’s clash against the Dockers will be the final game of an action packed ANZAC Day of football across the competition.
