Swans coach John Longmire and GWS coach Leon Cameron could not split the performances of Dan Hannebery and Lance Franklin, awarding them nine votes apiece in the AFL Coaches Association Player of the Year Award.

Hannebery collected 35 disposals (15 of which were contested), seven clearances, five inside-50s and kicked a goal against GWS on Saturday night to win the Brett Kirk Medal for best afield.

Franklin booted 5.5 in a dominate forward display which included two set-shots from outside 50 and tight on the boundary line while another was a goal kicked on the run from the centre square.

Craig Bird and Isaac Heeney were the other Swans to be awarded votes, with the former handed two for his outstanding shut down role on Giants on-baller Dylan Shiel while Heeney, this week's Rising Star nominee, was awarded two votes for his four goals, 10 disposals - at 100% efficiency - and three assists.

GWS Giants' Lachie Whitfield (six) and Devon Smith (two) rounded out the other vote getters.

Dan Hannebery (20 votes) moved to third on the overall leaderboard behind Fremantle's Nat Fyfe (23) and Adelaide's Rory Sloane (21) while Josh Kennedy (16) and Kieren Jack (14) are the other Swans to currently hold down a spot in the top 10.
