Fans attending Saturday’s game at the SCG will be treated to a special performance from The Wiggles.

Thanks to the club's official charity partner Redkite, the country’s most successful children’s group will perform on-field at half-time during the Swans’ fifth round clash against the Western Bulldogs.

On top of entertaining the crowd with a collection of their widely-acclaimed tunes, The Wiggles will also take part in the pre-game charity match which aims to raise awareness and valuable funds for Redkite.

Redkite provides young cancer patients with essential support, from the day of diagnosis right up until the final day of treatment, and the Swans are proud to have had a strong partnership with the network for the better part of 15 years.

Team captains Les Hill and Adam Spencer will lead their respective teams, full of high-profile recruits including Swans legends Craig Bolton and Jude Bolton, out onto the SCG at 1:30pm before the Swans take on the in-form Bulldogs.

The Swans’ own Rhyce Shaw and Harry Cunningham are huge supporters of Redkite and the incredible work the organisation does for young cancer patients.

The pair visited the Sydney Children’s Hospital on Tuesday to visit some of those who Redkite work tirelessly to help including 15-year-old Boronia Dixon who was, only a month ago, diagnosed with Leukaemia.

Dixon, performing a song she wrote on her ongoing battle with the illness, brought a tear to the boys’ eyes inside the Starlight Express Room.

Both Shaw and Cunningham said spending time with the kids and “putting a smile on the kids’ faces” was the least they could do.

“Rhyce and I love getting down to the hospital and working with Redkite and, through music therapy and Captain Starlight, trying to put some smiles on the kids’ faces,” Cunningham said.

“It really puts things into perspective.”

Shaw reciprocated: “We’ve got it pretty good as AFL footballers, to come into hospitals and see the kids who are struggling with cancer puts things into perspective.”

Shaw and Cunningham showed off their juggling skills in front of the kids before joining Dixon in singing a rendition of the Swans’ famous theme song.
