1. Will Buddy get weeks?
Lance Franklin might have some sleepless nights after being reported for rough conduct against Richmond. Standing in front of Buddy going at full speed is a frightening prospect, as Tiger Shane Edwards found out when he was almost split in half by the big forward just before half time. Edwards wasn't hurt in the clash and took his free kick straight away, but there was plenty of contact between Buddy's shoulder and the Tiger's head, which might land Franklin in strife.
2. The Swans could be two forwards short next week
Kurt Tippett also had his number taken just after half time for a high shot on Richmond defender Dylan Grimes. The former Crow is likely to cop it in the hip pocket rather than miss games, but given the report involved an elbow, Tippett would still be sweating. The pair have been the Swans' best targets this season, so missing one or both for any number of games would seriously hurt their line-up. The Swans face Port Adelaide next week before a trip to Brisbane.
3. Was there a full moon in Sydney?
It was Sydney, not Melbourne, and footy, not cricket, but Bill Lawry would have been in his element during this game, because it was ALL happening at the SCG. Reports, interchange infringements, spot-fires everywhere, and the Swans lost the plot. Buddy was reported in the second term, and didn't have his next possession until the 27 minute-mark of the last opposed to Alex Rance who was certainly one of Richmond's best. The Tigers kicked seven goals in the third quarter, and there were enough floaters kicked to have everyone thinking Tom Brady might be in town. Crazy stuff.
4. Should Richmond consider playing on the road every week?
Their 2015 record suggests absolutely they should! This season the Tigers have beaten the Lions at the Gabba, conquered the Power in Adelaide, beaten the Dockers in Perth, and now the Swans in Sydney. For a team that cops its fair share of criticism; that is an outstanding feat. The Tigers must really love hotel rooms and plane food. In those four wins, Jack Riewoldt has kicked 16 goals. Inspiring stuff from the No. 8.
5. Which 2005 premiership Swan will go the distance?
With three days of festivities planned to celebrate the Swans' drought-breaking flag a decade ago, the odds are the boys might be a little dusty come Monday. Irishman Tadhg Kennelly, big bad Barry Hall, current Swans' runner Nick Davis and 'Leaping' Leo Barry are the early favourites to dominate the celebrations, but there could be a quiet achiever amongst the pack. The club waited 72 years between premierships, so it's only fair they give it a nudge a decade on. Especially after sitting through a tough second half and watching the Swans go under.
