Rhyce Shaw draws the curtains on a humble career which will span more than 230 games over 16 seasons.

Traded onto Sydney at the end of the 2008 season, Shaw excelled in the red and white to go on and play a crucial role in the 2012 Premiership.

A leader on and off the field, Shaw took home the 2011 Best Clubman award symbolising his invaluable worth as a teammate.

We prefer him in Red and White but it's important to acknowledge Shawry's origins. He's pictured here with Josh Fraser after the pair were selected by Collingwood in the 1999 AFL Draft.

Much better... Shawry was straight down to business shortly after arriving in Sydney via a trade in the 2008 AFL Draft.

Shawry took over the #2 guernsey from 2005 Premiership hero and former Magpie teammate Nick Davis ahead of season 2009.

Shawry showcased his renowned bounce and dash throughout his first season in the Red and White. He went on to finish second in the Bob Skilton Medal behind Ryan O'Keefe.
