Apart from watching the Swans grace the SCG for the last time in 2015, what better excuse to get along to the football on Saturday night than by helping to celebrate two individual milestones.

Kurt Tippett and Harry Cunningham will tick off 150 and 50 games respectively when the Swans host Gold Coast in the final round of the home and away season.

Tippett has strung together 45 games in the red and white since making the heavily publicised cross from Adelaide in 2012.

The 28-year-old has reinvented himself in 2015, spending less time up forward and more time shouldering the ruck duties alongside Mike Pyke.

Saying that Tippett hasn’t lost his goal sense either with 37 goals coming from the 201cm key this season including six bags of three or more goals.

“150 games is something I’m very proud of,” Tippett said.

“I joined the sport late…I one day dreamt of playing a professional sport, back then it probably wasn’t AFL, but I’m very grateful of the opportunity to come into this wonderful game and play 149 games so far.”

Cunningham, into his fourth season at the Swans, took a little while to cement a spot in the senior side but over the last two years has developed into an important member of the midfield contingent.

Averaging 15 disposals over 18 games this season, Cunningham’s defensive pressure and nous around goals has proven to be an important commodity in recent times and will be vital to the Swans’ success over the next month of football.

“I was happy to play one AFL game for this amazing club, so to play 50 games is a big honour,” Cunningham said.

“My first couple of years was a huge learning curve, trying to mould myself on the senior players like Kieren Jack’s and Jarrad McVeigh’s. I came back, put in a good preseason and took my opportunity to play senior football.

“Hopefully I can continue to do that for the rest of my career.”

Both players are game breakers and will look to have a big impact during the Swans’ 2015 finals campaign.
