Sydney Swans co-captain Jarrad McVeigh has been withdrawn from Saturday night’s side to take on the Gold Coast at the SCG.
General Manager of Football Tom Harley said Mcveigh has some minor calf soreness.
“Jarrad has some minor calf soreness and we have elected to take a conservative approach with him ahead of Saturday night’s match,” Harley said.
“At this stage we expect him to be available for the first week of the finals.”
Dean Towers replaces McVeigh in the selected side with James Rose coming into the side as an emergency alongside Abania Davis and Xavier Richards.
