We take a look at some of the top prospects ahead of the National Draft at the Adelaide Convention Centre on November 24.

The following four youngsters are among those touted as potential first round selections

Ben Keays – Morningside/Lions Academy
Height: 185cm
Weight: 78kg

A medium midfielder with the ability to push forward, Ben Keays is a ball magnet who uses the ball efficiently by foot. The left-footer, who has a terrific work rate, is expected to be taken by the Lions through the Academy bidding system. A dual U18 All Australian, he won the Queensland MVP for his performance in the U18 National Championships. He averaged 29 disposals in three matches during the Championships.

Darcy Tucker – Horsham Saints/North Ballarat Rebels
Height: 184cm
Weight: 78kg

Another left-footed midfielder who loves to run and carry the footy. His decision making when disposing of the football is among the elite. Tucker excels in contested situations with the ability to extract the ball to his teammates by hand from most stoppage situations. He averaged 18 disposals, 10 handball receives and 3 inside 50s during his six games in the U18 National Championships playing for Vic Country. He was an U18 All Australian in 2014 along with being a member of the NAB AFL Academy. He had a very strong TAC Cup season averaging 24 disposals a game for the Rebels during 2015.


Darcy Tucker's outstanding season for North Ballarat caught the eye of plenty of AFL recruiters.

Riley Bonner – West Adelaide/Goodwood
Height: 191cm
Weight: 80kg

A tall defender with a penetrating left-foot, Bonner is also very efficient on his non-preferred right side. He has the versatility to be able to play on either a tall or small forward and can be an attacking option with the ability to break lines to create rebound from defence. He played senior football for West Adelaide in the SANFL this year, showing he can match it with more mature bodies. He won U18 All Australian honours for a strong Championships for South Australia where he averaged 18 disposals and five rebound 50s.


Riley Bonner is one of the most exciting draft prospects coming out of South Australia.

Jack Silvagni – Oakleigh Chargers/Greythorn
Height: 190cm
Weight: 81kg

The son of former Carlton champion Stephen, the versatile tall has shown an ability to play at either end of the ground over the last few seasons. He has terrific hands in the air and also below his knees for a player of his height. He is eligible to go father-son to the Blues. Silvagni’s six goals against Western Australia during the U18 Championships caught the eye of most recruiters as one of the most outstanding individual games of any player.


Jack Silvagni has nominated as a father-son selection in the hope of landing at Carlton.
