The Swans are likely to regain veteran defender Ted Richards for Saturday’s clash with Richmond at the MCG.

Richards has been recovering from a fractured eye socket suffered in his best on ground performance against the Eagles in Round 5.

The 33-year-old is said to be “going well and feeling good” and will be available for selection this week.

Meanwhile Kieren Jack and Ben McGlynn are also expected to make the trip to Melbourne.

Swans head physiotherapist Matt Cameron says both players bravely carried injuries through the weekend’s win over Essendon.

“Kieren Jack suffered a minor ankle sprain early in the game. We re-strapped him and he was able to finish the game out,” Cameron told the HCF injury update.

“He’s pulled up pretty well this week so we’re expecting him to be right to go.

“Ben McGlynn copped a corky to his thigh in the first contest of the game, so he had to play the whole game out with it, but he was able to get the job done.

“Again, with a seven-day turnaround he should be right to go too.”

But the news is not as good for Dan Robinson who dislocated his shoulder during the match.

Robinson will consult a surgeon on Tuesday – at this stage he has been ruled out for at least the next week.
