Young forward Oliver Florent will make his senior debut against Port Adelaide at the SCG on Saturday afternoon.

Florent, 18, was informed of the news earlier this week ahead of the Swans first training session of the week back at the SCG.

The Sydney Swans selected the exciting prospect with their first round selection, pick No. 11 overall, in the 2016 National Draft.

“I am in shock, I never thought I would play so early and I am just so excited to get out there with the team,” Florent said.

“In the team meeting before training John Longmire called me up and asked me a few questions before saying I was playing Round 1.

“Everything else was a blur pretty much – standing there in shock, in front of the boys as they were slapping the walls and going crazy.

“It was a really good experience.”

The final team to take on Port Adelaide on Saturday afternoon will be named on sydneyswans.com.au at 6.25pm.
