Sydney Swans duo Kurt Tippett and Gary Rohan are expected to be available for selection for this weekend’s match against North Melbourne.

Tippett (hip) and Rohan (concussion) will both be put to the test during training at the SCG this week, in a bid to prove their fitness.

Head of Football Tom Harley said it was pleasing to see Rohan had made a quick recovery after a sickening collision in Round 6 against Carlton.

“Gary is tracking well – he has cleared all the concussion protocols,” Harley said.

“He also had some whiplash symptoms through his neck and back, but that has all cleared now.

“It is obviously early in the week but he will go through training this week and we expect him to be available.”

Tippett didn’t play in the win over the Lions but is expected to return to full training this week and be available for selection.

Emerging midfielder Dan Robinson is also a chance to return after showing positive progress in his recovery from a broken collarbone.

But Kieren Jack won’t be available for selection to face North Melbourne as he continues his rehabilitation from a hip injury.

Harley said it was important Jack was not rushed back into the side.

“He (Jack) has had the two weeks now. He won’t play this week (but) he has got some strength through that area,” Harley said.

“It’s going well so all things being equal he has another good week-and-a-half of training and conditioning and he is available next week.”
